Sip Fresh Strengthens Leadership Team
Specialty Beverage Concept Names New Financial Controller to Support Brand’s Nationwide Franchise Growth in High Traffic Hot Spots

PASADENA, Calif. – Sip Fresh, the innovative specialty beverage concept, has already established itself as a “must-have” destination for refreshing, fruit-based drinks while consumers are out and about. Now, as the invigorating brand continues to gain popularity, Sip Fresh is focused on franchise growth and providing best-in-class franchisee support with key leadership team members.

Today, Sip Fresh has appointed Nicholas Wuthrich as their financial controller, bringing his extensive experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry to guide the brand’s financial decisions. A Texas native, Wuthrich comes from a family of restaurateurs and has a sincere interest in the food and beverage sectors. As the former Director of Revenue and Treasury at Black Angus Steakhouses, Wuthrich played a nimble role in the growth of over 30 of its restaurants in five different states. Taking on the role of Controller at Sip Fresh, he is confident in his ability to scale and expand Sip Fresh across state lines in the years to come focusing on cost optimization, financial education, and guidance aiming to enhance the franchisees’ bottom line.

“I am thrilled to take on the role as Controller at Sip Fresh, and begin to support a brand that has such valuable potential for growth,” said Wuthrich. “Sip Fresh has great potential, and I am thrilled to contribute to its success, supporting a concept that provides a breath of fresh air in the crowded beverage segment. I look forward to contributing to cost controls moving forward; a focus that franchisees place as a top priority.”

Wuthrich will be working in tandem with Sip Fresh Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sharon Arthofer, a highly respected retail industry leader and accomplished former multi-unit operator of Wetzel’s Pretzels. Under Arthofer’s direction, the leadership team is capitalizing on the next generation of retail opportunities and focusing the brand’s development in top-tier malls, entertainment centers, travel hubs, and other non-traditional formats with high-traffic hot spots.

“We are thrilled to extend our success into new markets with established partnerships through our robust internal controls and through our flexible and scalable operations,” said Arthofer. “The addition of Nicholas as our new controller is even more gratifying as we expand and sustain a strong return on investment for our franchisees. It’s an extremely cost-efficient business model and I’m confident franchise owner/operators will see the value in the concept.”

A nod to the brand’s business model, Sip Fresh was recently listed on QSR magazine’s 2023 “40/40 America’s Hottest Startup Fast Casuals” list which recognizes 40 fast casual brands with fewer than 40 locations that are “on the verge of something big. Sip Fresh is looking to take advantage of its prime market share in small footprints from California, Arizona, and across the Sunbelt with a strong interest in the southern region.
